Sleeper: Jaleel McLaughlin, DEN (vs. GB)

McLaughlin's limited workload dips his fantasy floor, but his ceiling remains strong. He has fewer than 30 touches and still has close to 250 scrimmage yards with three scores. He is a threat to go the distance just about any time the ball comes his way.

"Among 53 qualifying backs, he ranks second in explosive run rate, fourth in missed tackles forced per attempt and second in yards after contact per attempt," FantasyPros' Derek Brown noted. "He is lightning in a bottle."

The Packers have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to running backs, per Yahoo. McLaughlin could make his presence felt in this matchup.

Interesting info for the Broncos backfield.

I’m holding him and not letting go. He’s easily their best back.

All signs point to 49ers’ RB Christian McCaffrey playing Monday night at Minnesota, despite the fact that he is listed as questionable due to an oblique injury, per sources. McCaffrey returned to practice in a limited way Saturday and said after that he feels “great.”

Browns’ RB Jerome Ford - who left Sunday’s win over the Colts with an ankle injury - was diagnosed with what a source described as a “low grade, high ankle” sprain that is expected to sideline him 1-to-2 weeks.

Welcome to my permanent flex Rashee Rice

As a Saints fan Olave needs to shape the frick up.

You think he’ll miss time for that? I didn’t realize they would arrest you for 35 over unless it’s a school zone and it was too late for that. May have been more to it that wasn’t reported.

I don’t know. I’d be shocked if it was more than 1 week, if at all.

But it’s the entire picture of Olave in his second year that is becoming frustrating.

ETA:

Regarding a potential suspension for Olave’s arrest:

Vikings WR Jordan Addison was cited for driving 140 MPH in a 55 MPH zone earlier this year.

Former Cardinals WR Marquise Brown was arrested in 2022 driving 126 in a 65 zone.

Neither have received NFL discipline.

14 -- Ken Walker leads the NFL with 14 goal-line rush attempts. Tony Pollard is second with 10.

7.4% -- Only 7.4% of Chuba Hubbard rushes have gone for zero or negative yards, the second lowest mark in the league, while 18% of Miles Sanders' attempts have gone for zero or negative yards.

7.3% -- Tony Pollard has a 7.3% avoid rate. Only Latavius Murray and Ezekiel Elliott have worse marks.

50% -- Half of D'Onta Foreman rushes have gone for at least 5 yards, second only to De'Von Achane.

9 -- Alvin Kamara now has nine more receptions than any other running back despite missing three weeks.

6.9 -- Jaleel McLaughlin is averaging 6.9 yards per carry. It's hard to imagine his role shrinking.

Awesome. I have all of these backs throughout my leagues. Walker, Hubbard, Pollard, FOreman, Kamara, and Jaleel. The only other backs I have are Achane and Kyren on IR.

NFL Trade Deadline Tues Oct 31

quote:

Which big names could be dealt?
Here are 24 notable veterans who could be available ahead of the deadline:

Vikings QB Kirk Cousins
Titans QB Ryan Tannehill
Titans RB Derrick Henry
Cardinals WR Marquise Brown
Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy
Broncos WR Courtland Sutton
Bears WR Darnell Mooney
Panthers WR Adam Thielen
Raiders WR Hunter Renfrow
Cardinals TE Zach Ertz
Patriots OT Trent Brown
Panthers OLB Brian Burns
Vikings OLB Danielle Hunter
Commanders DE Montez Sweat
Commanders DE Chase Young
Jets DE Carl Lawson
Giants DL Leonard Williams
Broncos LB Josey Jewell
Vikings LB Jordan Hicks
Bears CB Jaylon Johnson
Broncos S Justin Simmons
Vikings S Harrison Smith
Patriots S Kyle Dugger
Panthers S Jeremy Chinn

quote:

Broncos: At 2-5, even coming off a win, Sean Payton could be interested in collecting resources for down the line.
Giants: Brian Daboll's offense remains a mess with a banged-up QB and still-lackluster OL and skill group.
Panthers: An 0-6 start all but guarantees a sale. QB Bryce Young needs future reinforcements like anyone.
Patriots: Bill Belichick isn't one to punt on a season, but at 2-5, you can't rule out a forward-thinking move.
Titans: With aging offensive "weapons" in Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry, it's probably time to look ahead.

Vikings fans will be supremely pissed if they move him after that performance Monday night against the Niners.
