Gregg Williams interview/press conference...
quote:

A reporter referred to Odell as "one of the most dynamic players in the league." Williams replies: "That's your opinion? What's New York's opinion? The Giants' opinion? What did the Giants do?"

Odell is either going to drop 40+ Sunday or he's going to throw a temper tantrum after dropping a couple of passes and get tossed.

I'll be watching.

The Redskins will possibly promote WR Robert Davis. Will have to decide about another TE as well. Will consider Derrius Guice to IR to open a roster spot.

If this happens, is there any way that Guice is a contributor in fantasy this season?

The Washington Redskins are reportedly set to place running back Derrius Guice on injured reserve after he underwent surgery on a torn meniscus in his knee Thursday. The move will keep him off the active 53-man roster for at least eight weeks.

He'll be eligible for activation to the Redskins roster after the team's Week 9 road game against the Buffalo Bills, but Washington has its bye in Week 10, which allows for an extra week of rest and recovery.

Is it even worth keeping him in the IR slot if I can put AJ Green there and pick up another player then try to get Guice back once AJ is back? Do we think Guice will even do anything in weeks 11-16 after sitting for 10 weeks?

That's what I'm thinking as well. If he's out of football from week 2 through week 11, how much of an impact will he really have? How much will the Redskins expose him to reinjury considering that they most likely won't be playing for anything at that point.

Burkhead is available in my 12 team, and I've got Lindsay as the only real RB2 option.

I may be picking up The Head just in case that's true.

ETA: Forgot I'd added Montgomery after the Bell news. Just dropped him for The Head.

Sadly, Guice's season is probably done. They are going to be 2-8 or so at that point.

Guice is in career-salvage mode at this point.

It’s really not that bad, but he needs to get his body right. I still think he’s a very good pro back
