Though reports have suggested the Athletics plan to start newly signed Cuban defector Yoenis Cespedes in center field, current center fielder Coco Crisp isn't thrilled with the idea of moving to left. FYI, Boo told me that there's zero chance that he takes Joe Nathan.

If I take a closer (doubtful, but you never know) it won't be him.

There's about a 5% chance I go another route, I'm pretty much sold on MG tho.

The Royals announced Monday that an MRI has shown damage in the ulnar collateral ligament of Joakim Soria's right elbow.

Bad news. While the immediate concern is the possibility of Tommy John surgery, the extent of the damage isn't yet known and the Royals didn't announce how they'll proceed. Assuming Soria ends up missing significant time, Greg Holland and Jonathan Broxton will become the favorites to close games for the Royals.
