I'm not mad at all. I'm fine with 12. Thought it was discussion worthy. I didn't know what I said 5 years ago would be thrown in my face though.

Yeah because that never happens here

I was wondering if you'd back off Cespedes after he went into a ST funk.

I don't put a ton of stock into spring training, really.

Though reports have suggested the Athletics plan to start newly signed Cuban defector Yoenis Cespedes in center field, current center fielder Coco Crisp isn't thrilled with the idea of moving to left. "That's one of the reasons I came back to Oakland instead of going to Tampa Bay," he told the San Francisco Chronicle. He thinks the situation will sort itself out in spring training. "I'm going to make all the plays," he said. "If someone feels there's someone better than me, it's hard for me to believe. Unless he's a demigod come down from the heavens, no one is going to outshine me in center field." Regardless of what the Athletics decide, though, Crisp plans to go along with it for the good of the team. "You can't put the carriage before the horse," he said. "I'll just go out and do my thing. And I'm excited to play alongside Cespedes -- no matter what side that may be."
Good shite coco

That actually surprised me. I figured they'd ease him in a bit. His league in Cuba is supposed to equivalent to A+ but I guess the big contract and his flashes of ability in ST sealed it.

You would think that guys named Milton Bradley and Coco Crisp would try to keep a low profile.

FYI, Boo told me that there's zero chance that he takes Joe Nathan.

If I take a closer (doubtful, but you never know) it won't be him.

There's about a 5% chance I go another route, I'm pretty much sold on MG tho.

The Royals announced Monday that an MRI has shown damage in the ulnar collateral ligament of Joakim Soria's right elbow.

Bad news. While the immediate concern is the possibility of Tommy John surgery, the extent of the damage isn't yet known and the Royals didn't announce how they'll proceed. Assuming Soria ends up missing significant time, Greg Holland and Jonathan Broxton will become the favorites to close games for the Royals.
