Why do they release vote COUNTS early?

We have reports coming out of states already with vote counts by party affiliation.
What’s the point in releasing these numbers early?
All votes should remain secret until polls close, should they not?

Probably best to get them out as soon as possibly because no telling what is being done in secret.

It’s informational, I find it useful

They don’t release votes.
They release how many people voted and their party affiliation.

In what way?

It’s not vote counts champ. It shows how many people voted, and what party they are registered with
The votes themselves are secret
Stop being paranoid. We are going to crush them

I said this in the OP.
They release vote counts by party affiliation.
My point still stands.
Why?

Not that it really begs an explanation but it’s useful for trying to predict results during an election, some people like looking at and analyzing data?

Isn’t it public record?
ETA: Meaning it’s probably easier to just summarize and release than deal with thousands of requests.

Why does this I do need to be released early though?

So the dim cities know how many fake votes they need.
Posted on 11/5/24 at 8:36 am to TackySweater
So they know how many ballots to print in the back of the Detroit barber shop. Duh!!!1

The more transparency the better homie. And Sorry for calling you an idiot. I/m just very geeked up this AM

I wish they would blockchain the votes.
John Doe votes in XYZ Precinct in ABC Country of Pennsylvania.
Post a scanned PDF of his vote on a webpage.
Users like you and me constantly go through random generated images to verify who that person voted for. Once each image gets X votes, it will get stamped with that candidate on the front and added to the count.
We don't need election place tabulators. Let the public do it. You can't rig it because it will be completely random. If there are bunch of differences on any image, it goes through further analysis and if someone is blatantly saying the wrong thing more than once.. they lose their right to verify votes.
And then you can see each precinct.. in each county.. with X number of stamped Trump votes.. and Y number of stamped Harris votes.
There is no manipulation on the vote itself. I can log in at anytime and see that my vote was counted a vote for Trump. Super simple. It also could all be completed tonight.
If you could get that part right, all you would have to do to secure a legit vote would be to make sure the voter list is legit.
There are 2500 people in this precinct eligible to vote.
Have people blockchain that too.. to check signatures.. to check names.. to check photo ID's.. blah blah blah
Completely fair. Completely legit.
Then again, we allow boys to compete against girls. This one fact explains what is so fricking wrong about our country right now.

You can still have this transparency if they are released when polls close.
There’s no reason for it to be done as the day goes on and for mail in or early vote numbers to be released before polls close.

We know who voted and their party affiliation, not who they voted for…politicians like this information so they can concentrate on who didn’t vote.
I agree, this data shouldn’t be given out. It allows bad actors know the math of the cheat.
1day, vote, show ID, handcount is the real solution
