I disagree. It's been a long road from Rigan to get here and endorse Trump.
I also think you have a different impression of Rogan that I do. I don't think he gives any fricks at all what others think. Zero. None.

He did a few years ago when the left complained about him not fact checking and having anti climate change people on.

He posted a Twitter video and promised he’d start bringing in left wing climate change hoaxers to counter the narrative, and he did

Not because he was caving in to others opinion on him, but because it was fair. He is a fair guy.
Of course he wanted to appear fair, because he IS fair.

Rogan doesn't care what others think.

I’ve always maintained that this is the most often told lie in human experience. We ALL care what others think. And Rogan has a giant financial incentive on top of the usual care.

Ehh I just think he gives his guests a chance to talk regardless of their stances. Which is largely why the show is so successful. He describes the show as a place for conversation and discourse and largely delivers. No need to be heavy handed or partisan.

But if you look at the guests it definitely leans towards advocates of free speech many of whom are kind of your classical liberals who have gravitated more right in the last decade or so.
