I didn't feel like it was a "strategy." The man actually cares about Americans. I think his campaign was unconventional because it was built on him doing his best to do right by Americans. That was how he was able to reach so many people.

When your message is that people like Hillary are responsible for creating conditions that ship your job to Mexico and you up shite creek, the people in those states listen. It's called the rust belt for a reason.
