Does that blowhard think a 4th round QB is coming in to take out two guys that Payton obviously believes in? Also, Letherwood was a huge reach. Turner's range was 20-40. Getting picked at 28 is not a reach, its just not great value.

I mean, its relative if you think about it.

we're talking he was a "20-40" range player taken in the middle at 28.

Is 36 (540) and 81 (185) for 28 (660) and 133 (39.5) better value? I think I would rather take the 5th year option and guaranteed we got our guy. Just remember, there was a run on DEs after us, your target may have been taken by that logic as well.

It means when you have a QB battle, you have no QB. He is not saying Book will start this year, he is saying Winston/hill are not long term starters for this team.

I thought it was obvious that payton isnt sold on winston and hill. Simply look at their contracts, thatll explain how much he trusts them

I take it as the Saints needing a backup QB next year. If Hill beats out Winston for the starting QB job this year, there's no way Winston stays next year. We'll need a backup to Hill and backup QBs are expensive. We're just now starting to dig out from cap hell, so a backup QB on a rookie deal is cost efficient. Best case scenario Book can ball and actually challenges for the starting job. Worst case we have a cheap backup QB when other teams pay millions for theirs.

He's possibly more sold on Jameis because he gave Taysom a legit tryout and Taysom was pretty average in his games as a true QB.

Jameis will finally get a fair shot to resurrect his career, but yeah the contracts both show that Saints will cut bait and start all over in 2022 if needed.

That's when I expect the big draft trade for a QB

Ahh, I get it now.
I was wondering why everyone’s killing him over the Book comment considering there are multiple starting QBs drafted in the 4th rd or later, but I did a quick search & found out he’s not an inbred Trump cum dump. And most of you are. So it didn’t really matter what he would’ve said.
You all are disgusting cowardice ignorant scared envious jealous bitches. Your parents as well and probably your children too.
