I forgot about the game yesterday while biking. I haven eaten Canes but twice, years ago. Bland as can be. Boring. Popeyes is vastly superior.
I was at LSU when Cane’s started out. Good flavor and sauce but just never crispy enough to me. They do have great service and that matters.
Their chicken definitely ain’t as delicious as Popeyes though.

Bollinger has been building Coast Guard cutters and other patrol vessels for several years. There’s a rumor that HRC threatened Boysie to pull the contracts if he didnt do TV campaign ads for her.

Wasn't he a known Democrat? I am sure some fringe folks would care, but doubt it would be as many as on the left that would boycott every company that donated to Trump if they knew.
I am pretty sure he gave a good bit to the Clintons, but he has also given to both parties.

Trump registered as a Republican in Manhattan in 1987 and since that time has changed his party affiliation five times. In 1999, Trump changed his party affiliation to the Independence Party of New York. In August 2001, Trump changed his party affiliation to Democratic. In September 2009, Trump changed his party affiliation back to the Republican Party. In December 2011, Trump changed to "no party affiliation" (independent). In April 2012, Trump again returned to the Republican Party.[4]
In a 2004 interview, Trump told CNN's Wolf Blitzer: "In many cases, I probably identify more as Democrat," explaining: "It just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans. Now, it shouldn't be that way. But if you go back, I mean it just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats...But certainly we had some very good economies under Democrats, as well as Republicans. But we've had some pretty bad disaster under the Republicans."[5] In a July 2015 interview, Trump said that he has a broad range of political positions and that "I identify with some things as a Democrat."[4]

Trump is an opportunist. He is whatever he has to be to serve his self interest.

Don't want to make this political. Thought this would be an interesting discussion.
You knew the moment you saw Todd...you knew what you were doing.
Nice job.

Shane Guidry used to be by far the biggest GOP donor in the state but since the oil crash and his company filing Chapter 11 he had to lay low the past few years

there’s a sizable difference between the Democratic party Trump once supported and the Democratic Party now.
He probably got that seat at Obama's infamous Correspondence Dinner because Obama just really liked him.

The Chuest family used to own a bunch of tug boats and oil field supply boats back in the 70s and early 80s. Almost went to work with them one time. Glad to see they are some of the good guys these days.

Boyse does not own Bollinger Shipyards. He sold all his interest in it several years ago. Ben Bordelon owns it with the Chouests.

I’m shocked to not see Bernhard on there. Iirc he hosted bill and Hillary at his house in br in 2015 for something like 25k a couple I think. Or maybe it was 25k a plate. Can’t remember
