Can't go wrong with steak there
All of the fish dishes I have had there have been good

People rave about the pork chop. I tried it once and like the fish or steak much better

The veal chop with Tammany sauce is fantastic. I also love his lollipop lamb chops. Never can go wrong with the Pompano with lump crab in a lemon buerre blanc either.

Went 2 years ago for a graduation and it was excellent. Went last year for Father's Day and it was disappointing.

Report: went with my standard fare, fantastic as always. The bar expansion is really nice. Pat was walking around talking and laughing, great to see.

Place has not lost a step, if anyone was on the fence, its definitely worth It.

On another note, went to Nuvalaris Satudat night....veal panne wasn't bad but not exceptional. LOVE that location and it was PACKED, just wish theyd take it up a notch and realize the potential.

Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentine's Day are not good days to judge a restaurant.

Call and ask to sit in the bar area. The main area is tile flooring and it gets super loud.

ETA: Got ahead of myself some...good to see he is still doing well. I miss that place since we moved to Nola.

My days in sales for a couple off companies that were in the restaurant supply industry, had me very chummy with Pat way back in the Folsom Winner Circle days and Wally, manager at Nuvo, was a bartender at Brady's in Hammond.

Circa '83-'91....that's where I learned my sales/making friends chops.

I second the mixed grill. The stuffed chicken is pretty phenomenal.

Yup - Nuvolaris has definitely been passed in terms of quality of food. Villa Vancheri or Leonardo's definitely the superior Italian in Mandeville.

Nuvolaris has a great location tho, as do most of the lakefront spots - afterwards you can walk right next door to the Grapeful Ape Bar (at least you could before COVID.)

Oysters Pablo is something I would want as part of a last meal. A dozen would be a meal. Wish I’d have seen this thread before ya went. Now, ya gotta go back.
