Also, why the hell is weed even being tested for? It's just a recreational substance like alcohol, not a PED.

It wasn’t a test for marijuana. It was a PED test. Kristian thought it was for marijuana and almost submitted a tampered sample but decided to use his own and passed the PED test. The fact that he almost submitted a sample that wasn’t his is what this is about.

No, shame on Fulton.

I bleed purple and gold, but let’s take our P&G glasses off for a second. The bottom line is, he cheated. If this was a Bama player in the same situation, you guys would be screaming that the NCAA was rigged if they reinstated him. It’s pathetic how people can’t separate football from life. He cheated. Period. The NCAA has messed up a lot of things, but they got this one right.

You are just as stupid as the committee....

Where in this world does someone that "attempted to cheat" get a stricter penalty that one that does cheat?

FN RETARDS!!

If he actually failed he would get a year. He passed the damn test. Young men on video beating young women and others getting guns and dope charges miss one game but ya this is fair. Not to mention he hasn’t missed one class workout practice etc. good grades, on track to graduate. This is heartbreaking for KF

I wish we could retaliate with a bad PR campaign.

LEARN A frickING LESSON. Don’t cheat.
His sorry arse could get kicked out of college for cheating on a test and getting caught. WTF.

That might actually work in our favor with O as HC.

The penalty for cheating the test has to be worse than failing the test. If not, there is no deterrent to cheating if a player thinks they are in danger of failing.

Do any of you coming down on KF realize that LSU admitted to a lack of education regarding the penalty?

If you want to blame a kid for doing something foolish, assuming you NEVER did at that age, go ahead and look like a sanctimonious jerkoff. If you ID'd EVERY person who imbibed da weed in college, you would be embarrassed at how many you trust or are related to. They fill our cavities. Prepare our taxes. Carry guns with lawful use of deadly force. They deliver our babies. Don't be that a-hole, man.
Bottom line is, the 2-yr penalty is intended for those who submit a false or tampered sample, are using PEDs and are blatantly lying about it...which is not what happened here.
By their own admission, Alleva, O, and everyone along that food chain are more responsible for this than KF.
Period.

Kid made a mistake...not one that should cost him his fricking future.

So if I take a crib sheet into my final exam but don't use it, have I cheated?

Understanding that this kids plan on a career is the NFL "which it sounds like he is obviously good enough to attain that goal" and taking away half of his time to compete for that opportunity is way too harsh and doesn't fit the crime!

He should have made better decisions.

Couldn't agree with you more, but that has no bearing on whether or not the punishment for his behavior is warranted or not!!!

You shouldn’t. It’s absolutely a discussing to punish a kid like that for a mistake.

He should have 100% have been punished. This is the epitome of cutting off a hand for stealing a loaf of bread.

According to .......oh, you.
A committee of professionals investigated, reviewed and determined this punishment. I'll say it once again, the NCAA is not just punishing an offender, they are also sending a message to other would-be offenders.

Right, but they probably went wrong when they tried to blame the lack of education on the NCAA.

LSU has a point in noting that the ruling is vague as to what constitutes "violation of protocol" vs "tampering".
