Feels like a lifetime ago. I honestly can’t tell if that season or the past 2 (and I’ll include the FSU game in that) are more unbelievable.

I remember Joes first season with us, I liked him at QB, but thought we just threw in some other schools 3rd string as would get by on our solid D like we always do. I was at that 7 OT game in CS and I could tell then and there we had a leader, could’ve never imagined what next season would bring. So fricking glad I didn’t skip going to the SECC, Peach Bowl, and Natty that year. How spoiled we were as fans for that season.

I use it as a reference for handling success (or the lack thereof) all the time at work when talking to my people. It’s actually pretty insane to see how quickly an organization can fail when the top quits worrying about standards and believing their hype.

Lucky to be at the game with a UT grad friend! As soon as Jefferson broke it up the sideline I knew the game was won! Had a muted celebration as was in UT section with my friend and his family! Will never forget that moment or feeling thinking we could win it all again!

Thank God it happened!!! BDJ and the rest of a great team got it done!

So right! UT’s season and ours would’ve been a lot different. It goes to prove that football is a “game of inches”. One play can change the course for an entire season, especially in big games that are season openers! Big games to start the season are exciting for fans, but are so risky for a team’s mindset for the entire season.
