Found some nice fish in Muscle Bay yesterday, Stump Lagoon didn’t have much action.

Can’t add much to your question. Just wanted to say I miss being out there. Just a really large area that’s going to take a while to figure out. Used to kill some greys out there during duck season and usually had decent fishing trips. Really good sight fishing redfish back in little ponds in the fall!

Isle au Pitre. You would need a large boat to be safe there.

I fished in the northern bayous (bayou Biloxi and north) on Friday. That area was completely opposite in nature from the previous weekend as far as bait (shrimp) in the falling tide goes. There was none. No birds in sight, shrimp boats all moved elsewhere. Managed a few stragglers but the bite was slow and lethargic. I heard the southern bayous were more lively.

Yea. Check out lafishblog on youtube. endless amount of info... and if you're into it, check out his website www.lafishblog.com - he even has a membership that is well worth the money. I've learned a ton from him.

Also, the main pattern in the fall is be sure to fish a falling tide. drains and passes are going to be your best bet for trout. Reds along the banks.

Where are you launching ? what kind of boat?

Muscle bay area is a perennial producer in fall. But right now when winds are anything easterly, the morning tide is falling out from the bayous into lake borgne.......trout are all over those and there's tons of options. Don't need to stop where you see pile of boats, just go to the next one.

Thanks for all the help. We had boat issues and only fished about half the day and stayed closer to the launch. Never found good trout. Weeded through smaller ones. The amount of marsh out there is daunting. But we will be back and try to learn more of the area.
