Washed and scuffed also. I used a paint sprayer with exterior paint. Haven’t had an issue yet, but it’s been less than a year.
I like Lew’s and Shimano. A Lew’s may be easier to keep in your $200 budget, but it can be done with a Shimano if you find a good deal on a rod.
Did it seems safe to drive around north if Catfish Lake? Last report I got was that there was debris and chunks of marsh floating around everywhere.
Thanks for all the help. We had boat issues and only fished about half the day and stayed closer to the launch. Never found good trout. Weeded through smaller ones. The amount of marsh out there is daunting. But we will be back and try to learn more of the area.
