It would be great if he could come back, slide to RG and send Hines to the bench; leaving Xavier Hill starting at LT.

Hines was pancaked by a defender on one play last week. Lucky for us, Max got the ball out quickly,

Just one...seemed like 3 or 4 times.

It’s the one I vividly remember because they showed the replay of Max’s completion and Hines was destroyed on the play.

Xavier Hill played a few plays on skates. Dellinger looked better at OT to me.

I think this was the first third down conversion. Hines must have tripped or something because he was stumbling back and got pancaked. That one was really bad.

I thought he held his own in pass protection after that one though.

I think Orgeron indicated that he was unhappy with LT play and that a change was in the making.

Exactly. Deculus left leg/foot got him as he was being pushed back and down he went. I thought he had just gotten demolished but I had rewinded it to see what happened. He was pretty solid after that and a major upgrade from the week earlier. The problem Saturday night continued to be left tackle and center.

If Deculus were smart he would ask to move inside to RG to put some film for scouts but that isn’t going to happen so I hope Wire gets a shot at RG and let Dellinger and Hill battle it out for LT. Hines just isn’t good enough and neither is Liam. Next year Will Campbell will start at LT day 1 and I think Dellinger starts at RT or LG. I would move Xavier Hill or Marlon Martinez to C this off-season so someone is there to push Turner then you let Bradford, Wire, Emery Jones, the Pillsbury Doughboy aka Kardell and Dumervil battle it our for the two guard spots. There’s enough talent there that someone has to rise to the occasion and I really do believe in this new OL coach. He’s old school and a disciplinarian and that’s exactly what we need for our OL. We need killers up front that play nasty and right now we don’t have that.

This 100%
He’s a good coach. Unfortunately, Burrow and Co. made the O line and coach look better than they were.
Hopefully, he survives this year along w/Coach O. We’ll see…

I wish we could have gotten Hines work at center this fall, but I think that ship has sailed. Hill is not strong enough to start at left tackle in SEC play. He’s got good feet but he does not handle bull rushes at all. I don’t know how well Wire’s knees are going to hold up. I like Dellinger and would like to see him get more PT. I said that they were going to try Bradford but I don’t see that experiment working because edge rushers are going to get around him with quickness. There just isn’t a good solution right now but hopefully something will develop.

It's agreed that Dellinger should be the starter at LT.

He's the fix to OL problems.

He must not be 100% healthy yet.

Dude what? Hines is overweight at guard. How the hell would he play center?
