My 19 year old son. Played golf from 7th grade through 9th. No lessons, and might play once a year on Father’s day(Just to make me happy)

Damn, not sure how to upload a video....First video is a slight fade, second is a tight draw. He has always had a great short game and natural golf skills.

Good swing. That back foot is like the love child of Jose Altuve and Scottie Scheffler.

He definitely doesn’t shortchange himself in swingspeed. Certainly has the “I learned the game when young” swing. Natural looking. Not thinking about anything other than killing the ball. Don’t know what he shoots, but would shoot low-to-mid 70’s if he practiced his short game.

I miss being that flexible

Really nice swing and ball flight for not taking lessons.

Didn't know Bulova made watches that nice looking.

Two swings. And there’s no way for you to prove me wrong, either.

He has always been mid to high 80’s. As an 8th grade he played ET from the Refs and had 3 birds and shot 83.

He prefers team sports. Loves Basketball and sand volleyball.

But to watch him play golf is a real joy for me. Even if it’s only once a year??

He’ll come around to golf as he gets older. His footwork needs some work, but he’s got crazy speed and stays on plane like a pro. He could be scratch inside of 2 years if he worked at it.

I wish I was that young again.

You can tell he has some quality moves with that swing. In fact, would bet he played well past 9th grade and higher level than high school golf.

Powerful swing for sure, appears to have a lot of lateral slide which generates power but will lead to some inconsistency and 2 way misses. IMO, I'd work on some more connectedness and body rotation.

Strong, balanced, and slotted. Back foot and head are a little active, but you can't argue with the results of those two swings.

He should play a lot more than once a year. It'd make me feel better at least.

Teams sports are just more fun when you are younger. I’d say make sure you take him to the range or to play randomly to keep him playing. He will thank you once team sports go away.

Also make sure he knows high school golf is a kind of a team sport. I played a bunch of sports in HS and played golf my Sr year. Some of the most fun I had in HS was playing wolf or other games during “practice”
