LulaRich Documentary (about Lularoe ) on Amazon Prime.

I couldn't find anything to watch last night and put this on. It is about the rise and fall of Lularoe. I had heard of the company and knew what they did but that was about it.
I'm two episodes in and find it captivating. I don't know the full story, so not sure where it will take this as they show clips of the owners in depositions. Both the owners seem a tad off, especially the wife.
I had no idea they were that big at one point and how fast they rose. I think they said from $25 million to 1.8 billion in sales in 24 months. Then hired all of their family to run departments in a billion dollar business.
Said they had 35000 "retailers" at one point that had bought in from anywhere to $5k - $10k. Housewives taking out loans, maxing out c/c to "start their own business"

MLMs are the worst
I am sure we all know of someone who decided to "start their own business"

I'll gladly take any opportunity to watch something that shits on MLMs. I'll watch this.

They defiantly shite all over it. Episode 2 starts to get into some people that bought in and how it ruined them.
I know someone now, good friend of the family. She is doing a makeup one. She keeps talking about how she is a business owner and her own boss, etc... I just shake my head.

I'm only on the second episode, but it's pretty good. So far, it still seems like the wife truly had good intentions going into it... the husband seems like a creep.
I only knew one person that did it and seemed pretty successful (at one time posting that she bought herself a spendy SUV #becauseoflularoe)-- not shitting on her success, but HOW do you live with yourself knowing what it's all about and what happens to people in your downline? The whole thing just seems to antithetical to everything I know about this person.

They changed suppliers or something and their products became really shitty all of a sudden is what I heard.

I laughed at how one of the top earners said she basically spent all her commissions every month. They basically told her to buy expensive stuff and travel and post it online with Hash tags for the company. To show others what they can earn.
And there cruises and corporate events they all had to pay for all travel, food, lodging etc..

Watch On Becoming a God in Central Florida on Showtime with Kirsten Dunst.
Fictional show that makes fun of pyramid schemes in the 80s/early 90s I think
And I really liked the Amazon show. Always down for shows that bash MLMs. The founders are both nut jobs. And what was up with the whole Mexican gastric sleeve surgery story?

My wife was at an estate sale in Santa Maria a couple of months ago and a lady pulled up to her, asked her how tall she was, then gave her two garbage bags full of LuLaRoe blouses, leggings and dresses. You know that woman spent $5k trying to sell that shite and was dumping it off.

I think she was the one who said she was already in poor financial shape before joining the company. There was no way she'd spend those fat bonus checks wisely.

Was she the one that said she spent 10k on a single dinner for friends and family one time?

Yep, then filed bankruptcy at the end. Lost her house and cars. She said she got multiple $60k bonus checks over a few year period. Insane.
Also the star of the show was the email help guy. Haha. He is boycotting Kelly Clarkson.
