That CRA sampler is always a damn good deal every year. A few months ago, I came across a website that had the 2019 CRA for $80. I bought 5 of them.

I’m going to Colorado next week for about a week. I’ll go tomorrow tomorrow to pick up a few sticks for the trip and I’ll smoke something tomorrow while I smoke a pork butt.

Morning coffee, cool Colorado weather is begging for a cigar. Evening drinks and a smoke as well. Can’t wait. Just have to now decide what I want.

What are some of y’all’s favorite maduros? I’ve smoked Perdomos for years. Not that I thought they were anything special, just somewhat limited on selection. Some new spots I’ve found have much better options, so looking to branch out.

Perdomos are excellent. Their Lot 23 Maduro is one of my favorites. My Father Flor de las Antillas, San Cristobal, La Aroma de Cuba, CAO Brazilia, and Plascencia Alma Fuerte are a few of my favorites. I also recently had a Rocky Patel The Edge that was very good.

Any reason you want to stick with Maduro?

I’ve always had some issues with the draw of the perdomos, but didn’t mean to make it seem like I thought they were bad.

Thanks for the recs. I just love maduros. I’ve had others, it’s just one of my favorite styles, but one I haven’t been able to properly explore what’s out there.

Never had either of these and I forgot about Arturo Fuente. It’s amazing how much quality there is out there.

Finally got a chance to retry the 8-5-8. I am finishing a natural now and had the maduro last week which were both pretty solid. Must have definitely gotten a dud the first time.

My go to for close to 30 years now, and the price is relatively the same, if not better!

I didn’t realize that stick has been around that long. There’s a reason for that. Just fired up a La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial.
