Inequity, non inequality.
And there are a lot of themes in his research, which is all essentially race-based. One of the ones that is particularly troublesome is his theory that performance in math is correlated to geography and if we force integrate neighborhoods, one method of which would be expansion of public housing in affluent areas (e.g. Section 8), the black kids will become better at math.
His entire career is based on the idea that we need to provide extra advantages to minorities in every facet of life for them to succeed in STEM. He focuses a lot of that on just mathematics too. It is affirmative action of steroids. It is essentially reparations in the form of giving minorities more advantages than white students.
It is pure racism to me.

Done. The alma mater has done a lot of things to lose my support lately but hiring Tate would be the last straw.

No extrapolate this to how he would lead a university. LSU has already seen academic rankings plummet while the drive has been on increasing diversity and bragging about our "most diverse class in history" I fully believe Tate would make it his mission to ensure minorities are given more just for being a minority.

The craziest thing is I don't think this is a secret, he would openly say this and expect to be patted on the back for it.
The guy in charge of the search committee is looking for just this. He's a piece of shite himself. They are single-issue focused on this hire and it is terrifying. Nothing else matters besides forced diversity, even at the expense of fairness and tradition.
It is really fricking sad.

Tate is also under scrutiny at USCe for his handling of Title IX cases there.. The students are hammering him for not removing accused faculty
