It's obviously because Trump, king of the black people, called it the "Chyna Virus". As Dear Leader Xiden tells us, black people are too stupid to use the internet, so they think all Asian people are Chinese.
That's the gist of the left's narrative, anyway. I'd hazard a guess that these attacks are opportunistic; they've been happening for decades but is just now being discovered because it's so easy to video things these days.

Good thoughts. I think that they resent the Asians because they're high achievers and have assimilated quickly into our culture. By and large, the blacks never have despite massive spending on programs.
