What is the best these days for the price? Looking to put one in the new outdoor kitchen. There are so many to choose from now other than just Green Egg and Primo.

I have a Kamado Joe and love it. But there are much cheaper ceramics nowadays. As long as it's ceramic and has a good seal, then it may not matter too much. Now with the Joe, you get a lot more bells and whistles for your money, but if you are looking for just a basic ceramic, and don't care about extras, then there are plenty cheaper ones out there.

I've been having mine for 5-6 years now, and use it just about every weekend. I've done steaks, burgers, pizza, ribs, brisket, pork shoulder, tri-tip, picanha, jerky, wings, pot dishes (cast iron).... There is really no limit to what it can do. It's an outdoor oven and extremely versatile. My only draw back to my Kamado Joe Classic 2 - Large (18") is it's not quite big enough for a large packer brisket. I have to do some trimming or bunching the meat together to fit it in the dome. Primo's don't really have that trouble, or you could just upgrade to the XL.

Don't know where you are located, but I have a Primo XL Oval 400, stainless table and cypress table, both on wheels, grill covers, and a wide range of accessories I am looking to sell. Hate to part ways with it, but I just do not use it like I used to (I have way too many BBQ pits). It's in great shape. I'm in St. Tammany Parish.

You can get a Kamado Joe Classic for 750 right now at Lowes. Sometimes, walmart will have them on sale in the 600.00 range.

Look at the Weber Kamado. Advantages of the ceramic kamado, but durable porcelain-coated steel. I love mine.

Please pay attention to warranty. Most have moved away from the lifetime warranty, but some still stand by it.

I have a Vision and it's doing well. Only had it a year. I probably had the Akorn Chargriller. The Akorn is not ceramic, rather it has a ceramic blanket inside of it. Not as nice as the Vision but it did very well for 6 years (which is when I gave it to someone else and bought the vision)

I had an Akorn for several years as well. It was great initially but ended up rusting in the ash pan.

We recently moved and I went with a Vision as well. Definitely an upgrade over the Akorn. I went with Vision because it has an available gas insert so you can use it as a propane grill. My wife doesn’t always like the smoke flavor so that is a plus for me. I haven’t done this yet, but plan to get a joetosserie for it. The Vision grills will work with all the Kamado Joe accessories. That’s handy.

I love my Primo Kamado. Have had it for nearly 20 years. If I had to get another one, I would get the Primo Oval, because I like the design a little better.

I have well over $3,000 in the grill and accessories and the OVAL XL alone is $1,500.00:
Griddle
Cast Iron Charcoal Grate
Deflector plates
Powder coated cart with stainless steel shelves
Compact Cypress table
Primo Cover
Grate lifter
Ash tool
Ceramic roaster for chicken and turkey
Primo Oval XL
Extra cinch bolts and replaced hinge bolts last year.
Over 10 years old.

Our kids are grown and gone and I find I mainly cook on one of my weber kettles, only pulling out the Primo for overnight brisket and butt cooks. So, it mostly sits idle.

Anyway, that's a long way to say $1,500.00 for all of it, or any reasonable offer.

Sure, but the other fella made first contact so if he doesn't respond, I'd be interested in selling components.
