I mean, we're a young team. Younger bodies should be able to handle increased wear and tear better than old bodies. We're certainly not more at risk than other teams.

Not saying we are at more injury risk, everyone collectively is at a heightened risk, probably more so teams that went deep into the playoffs last season, but that the pressures of this season and our own self inflicted choices don’t really have me wanting to push our best guys and sideline development of our younger guys to chase every last win over a rather meaningless season long term. Especially when I think getting one of the top talents this year means a lot more long term than getting some play-in series to gain playoff experience or whatever Griffin-like buzz word someone has.

But if they do do that, which it seems they are and will continue to do, I’m not gonna just pout in the corner. I’ll enjoy it for what it is, even if it’s not what I think is the best use of this season.

I'm preparing for the inevitable "Pels have such an easy second half schedule" after having the 3rd toughest to start the season.

For reference, when I saw media sessions "post-practice," I had a laugh. I feel like that was about our 8th practice of the season, including training cam

I feel like we are playing someone good damn near every night so far this year

The problem is we generally suck so there’s a good chance we are playing a team that’s better than us on any given night

I would really like to see Lonzo in a playoff series before determining how much money he should get. I really wish we would have seen that last year.
There is absolutely nothing negative about making the playoffs and getting swept for this team. They need to learn what playoff basketball is. The sooner that happens, the sooner they can start advancing in the playoffs.

Except that, you know, it takes you out of the running for the top of the draft for a team that if we are honest, could use a do over with the way Hayes has turned out.

As for Lonzo, I think they need to have that choice pretty much made by the deadline. If he’s still here it’s because you have worked out a handshake sign and trade agreement somewhere or you plan on matching to a certain point.

Kevin Durant missed the playoffs his first two seasons, Steph Curry was 24 his first appearance, Ingram and Zion will be just fine.

But really, don’t sweat it, they aren’t going to take my advice and simply use this season for youth development and low key tank, that much is clear given how little we see of the young guys. They at least aren’t grinding Zion and BI to the bone on MPG, so at least I appreciate that though..
