President Donald Trump on Monday released a series of coronavirus guidelines to slow the spread that calls for a lockdown of America, including the closing of restaurants and schools. 'Each and every one of us has a critical role to play in stopping the spread,' the president said in the White House briefing room. And while his guidelines will be revisited after the initial 15 day proposal, the president warned the virus could affect American life well into the summer.

Your first story was posted in March when the virus was very new and no one knew what to expect. There was a precautionary guidelines to shut down, but Trump never pushed for a long term closing of businesses, and openly called for Dem governors to open states.

Correct. GUIDELINES. He never closed one single state. Locking down was left to the discretion of the states, themselves (novel idea, I know). That’s why some states locked down earlier, some later. Some stayed shut down longer than others. That’s why some states never locked down at all.

You anti Trump dipshits refuse to understand the difference between a guideline and a mandate.

Dr Naomi Wolf is a dumb count who probably didn’t pay attention to what Biden was saying before the election. Are there doctors this stupid or is this another “Dr Jill Biden”?

Remember when Georgia told the feds to kick rocks and reopened early? LINK

quote:

President Trump said he wants states to open as soon as possible but he “wasn’t happy” with Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp for deciding to open businesses faster than White House coronavirus guidelines dictate.

“I wasn’t happy with Brian Kemp.” he said, repeating it for emphasis.

Keep it up fanboys. These excuses are WEAK. Trump and Faucci issued the shutdown guidelines. Trump and the Feds pressured the governors to follow them. The recession, suspension of civil liberties, and the trillion dollar payoff to mega corps and China was all Trump and Republicans. FACT. The largest transfer of wealth in my lifetime. Trump added $8 Trillion to the debt.

Wasn’t happy!?! That’s a far cry from putting a sovereign state into lockdown. What did Trump do? Did he FORCE them back into lockdown? No. He had no authority to tell them to go back into lockdown, just as he had no authority to tell them to tell them to go into lockdown in the first place.

Official California lockdown order

Notice the signature on the bottom. It says “Gavin Newsom.” Look real hard for Donald Trump’s name. It is not on there.

that’s why we’re still dealing with it a year later, because we still have free movement between states and international travel. Other countries had unified responses and eliminated the virus in their borders. I was watching the tennis Australian open final Sunday and couldn’t believe what I was seeing

Y’all don’t want to admit but it has been the most important thing America has had to deal with since 9-11

So typical. One lib is all pissed because Trump locked all the states down. Another lib (same thread, mind you!) is all pissed because Trump didn’t lock the states down.

Holy shite. The mental gymnastics are amazing. Trump issued the shutdown guidelines. He pressured the governors to follow them. He publicly berated those that didn’t follow. For all the banter about what Biden would/could do, he hasn’t been any worse than Trump on the lockdowns. That should tell you everything you need to know.

Y’all keep pulling that lever for the Republicans. I’m sure they’ll get it right at some point. Meanwhile, we have eroded our civil liberties and spiraled into endless debt. Trump paved the way for Biden just like GWB paved the way for Obama.

That’s what you’re going to go with? Trump pressured Cuomo, and Whitmer, and Pritzger, and to lock down? Those people (and others) did all they could to mock everything Trump said. They took great delight in defying the man at every turn. Every day.
