She’s an old school anti war Democrat, no?

That’s BS. The lockdowns were left up to the states. Newsom in California was the first to initiate a lockdown, followed closely by Cuomo.

Lie. Trump wanted to force states to remain open, but ultimately decided to let states make their own decisions

80 % of the morons that voted for them had no idea of the incompetence of this administration because CNN and the like refused to report on it.

If your only news source is CNN, you deserve to be deceived

The Republican lead Congress and the Republican President were the ones that initiated the lockdowns and the first stimulus which was a payoff to mega corporations and their Chinese suppliers. There's no way we can get to where we are with both parties. They are all complicit.
(sigh)
Another liberal fantasy narrative completely devoid of facts.

No, she's a feminist. That's her specialty. She was the fresh face after Betty Friedan. A bit younger than Gloria Steinem.

Better looking version of Susan Estrich. Estrich was more interestingly wacky, though.

I've got to be honest here...while I guess it's a good thing when these lefties finally side with the right on a few of these issues, I'm just not all that interested in praising them for it.
We are in the mess we're in almost entirely because of people like Naomi Wolf.
Sure...the far left radicals have been pushing for decades, but they could have made zero lasting inroads with the cover of normal liberals and leftists over that time frame. Guys like Brett and Eric Weinstein, Sam Harris and many others have sided with the right on occasion when cancel culture finally arrived at their own doorsteps, but not only were they silent when it was happening to the right they were largely complicit in it because it was bad for "the other side."
This stuff ends up reading like simple self perseveration, which is great and all, but it's not courage. It's simply a survival mechanism.
FWIW, if we were suddenly finding ourselves in a right wing version of this scenario, I'd expect people on the left to be super pissed at those on the right who only started speaking up as the proverbial tanks began arriving at their doorsteps as well.

the purposefully deceived masses ruin it for everyone. it is up to the 'enlightened' ones to spread truth.
with that being said, doesn't the public trust the media at like a 30% rate or something abysmal?

Sure, but you have to admit, today’s progressives are much worse than Clinton liberals.

It's a weird dichotomy. One could say this is correct, but it is also likely just as correct to say that we don't have "today's progressives" without the "Clinton liberals." I mean, Hillary and Bill certainly aren't decrying where they have headed.
I think it's perfectly good to point out when the few like Wolf here have their occasional 'oh shite' moments, though.

100%. And honestly, if you look at policies, Clinton would be considered somewhat conservative in 2021, and Trump would have been considered centrist or liberal in 1992.

Yep. It’s a digression

Sure...but today's progressives were always there, just fringe players way off to the left that were ignored by mainstream Democrats. Clinton era liberals and before and since have given them cover and allowed them to gain control of their party and we're now fending off such ridiculous crap that people like Naomi Wolf sound rational.
But what I'm saying is that she's had a VERY long time to come to this conclusion, right? Instead, she goes so far as to vote for Biden AND THEN suddenly acts as if it's some new revelation that Biden is going to govern as an authoritarian?!? Anyone paying even the slightest bit of attention knew this was coming. But for her, the continuing lockdowns is the line too far, and NOW suddenly she's talking sense.
Take our own Toddy. Huge lefty for as long as he's been on here. suddenly last summer, he seems to make this turn and people here are acting like it's some huge deal. but like Naomi, it was just one issue for him...race. Seems Toddy dislikes being called a racist for no reason and really dislikes when his alma mater, Ole Miss, caters to that nonsense. This was enough to seemingly open his eyes to this issue and caused him to seem like an "ally" to the right for a while. Then, Rush Limbaugh died and Toddy declared he was a disgusting hateful bigot and was glad he was gone. Turned out he was basing this POV off of some claim he'd never heard himself and had only read about the day before and had no context for any of it...but he'd always "known" he was bad, so he quickly reverted to his old self.
Like I said...I guess it's better than them doubling down on all the left's points, but I'm just not rolling our the red carpet for folks who will quickly turn their backs on their new found allies as soon as they are no longer in the woke crowd's crosshairs.

President Donald Trump on Monday released a series of coronavirus guidelines to slow the spread that calls for a lockdown of America, including the closing of restaurants and schools.
'Each and every one of us has a critical role to play in stopping the spread,' the president said in the White House briefing room.
And while his guidelines will be revisited after the initial 15 day proposal, the president warned the virus could affect American life well into the summer.
quote:
It also calls on governors that have states with 'evidence of community transmission' to close schools in the affected areas.' And it asks those states to address childcare issues as well as nutritional needs of children who use schools for their meals.
And there may be stronger guidelines to come.
'We have taken a tough stance. We may make other decisions,' the president said.
Remember When He Said it Would End at Easter then Extended It?
quote:
resident Donald Trump has said federal coronavirus guidelines such as social distancing will be extended across the US until at least 30 April.
He had previously suggested that they could be relaxed as early as Easter, which falls in mid-April.
"The highest point of the death rate is likely to hit in two weeks," Mr Trump said.
He appeared to be referring to peak infection rates that experts fear could overwhelm hospitals.
White House medical adviser Dr Anthony Fauci had earlier warned that the virus could kill up to 200,000 Americans.
Dr Fauci said that it was "entirely conceivable" that millions of Americans could eventually be infected.
You Trump fanboys just refuse to make him accountable for the shutdown. His administration put out the fricking guidelines. His administration proposed the stimulus and that MFer signed it. Yall are just as bad as the GWB fanboys that excused Iraq II. Trump will go down as GWB II.

Toddy might like to know that a supposedly homophobic Rush had Elton John play at his wedding. Just shows how the Left make up stuff.
