From Ian Rapoport:

The #Chargers are hiring #Rams DC Brandon Staley as their new head coach, sources tell me and @TomPelissero. An impressive young candidate, he gets a prime job in LA.

Wonder if Daboll will get a job. Eagles might be interested if they want to revive Wentz.

I believe so, and two of the hottest names for all of these jobs, Eric Bieniemy and Brian Daboll, haven’t been hired for any of them.

That's an odd choice

I was hoping if Joe Brady got a HC job, it'd be the Chargers, a promising team with a young QB in the AFC.

I'd hate for him to go to either dumpster-fires that are the Eagles or Texans.

He should wait on a better job

My guess is he will have his pick next year

The people that go deep in the playoffs usually pass

He would be dumb to accept either of those jobs.

I have no idea why Chargers went with a defensive coach, offense plays well with Herbert they lose offensive coordinator to another team, rather potentially build a Payton Brees type situation.

Definitely wait. Do what Shanahan did and just keep waiting until you can hand pick your organization, handpick pick the GM, control the roster, and secure a six year deal ensuring time to rebuild.

Funny they were saying earlier that Chargers were having to wait on the Bills and Chiefs to finish to interview their 2 guys.

Neither got the interview or the job.

On a side note it may have been hard for the Chargers to hire the OC from the Chiefs in Bienemy knowing that the Chiefs would get 3 free Picks.

What a dumb move. That team is set with an offensive coach

Saves money. They don't have to move the whole family.

i know Chargers ownership sucks but that's the best job on the market

stud QB with 4 years on his rookie deal left + a star WR + an incredibly talented defense

this isn't 1995 anymore

hiring a defensive coach doesn't mean your offense is going to be bland/conservative

you think the Bills have a conservative scheme?
