Avengers is not a good game

I bought it for cheap from a gamefly sale. I do not recommend... Black widow is the most fun gameplay wise.
A spiderman type game with these characters would have been great.
Gumby girl is not a exciting protagonist.

I, for one, am shocked that a massively hyped game turned out to be absolute shite.

I enjoyed Spider-Man. I liked the Batman games. This is just a pile of trash.

It was the worst $60 I ever spent on a game. I finished the story just because I bought it. Ms. Marvel may be the worst superhero ever. She is not interesting in the least. Just some PC woke bs being shoved down our throat.

I didnt even know who ms marvel is until now. Has to be the worst superhero strength ever. I am surprised they didnt make her non binary to hit on as much as they could with making her PC. This isn't like a young captain marvel (who i still dont really know who that is either).
The level up aspect is stupid. Skill levels consist of "punch" -> "punch harder" etc.
Gear makes no sense either. Just dumb.

Lol not even close. Iron Man and Thor are easily the top 2, then Cap, Hulk and Miss Marvel are about equal, and Black Widow is the worst.

I based that off of the opening which was underwhelming anyway. Agree with you on hulk and Gumby.

Black Widow may be the "worst", but she's fun to play with. She's weak as shite defense wise, but I like her play style. Cap and Thor are probably my favorite, then Kate & then BW.

You can tell they wanted Thor to be so much more powerful than everyone else but had to scale him down. They completely shat on Hulk though and that’s the worst crime of this game.

I like the combat of this game, it’s not much different than Arkham...
This game has been slowly and I mean slowly getting better.
They are doing massive changes to to the gear system...but as long as you have someone replenishing your Heroic Energy you’re Golden....if you really need to play that way.
My two favorites to play as are Cap and Kate Bishop. Thor is fun.
Variety of enemies would be better.
I believe after Black Panther DLC drops you may see some new enemies.
Clint aka Hawkeye is in a time travel mission next as appears to be fighting future Hulk.
Additionally, Ultron will be in the game.
The meat of this game, the fighting mechanics and multiplayer battlefield strategy is solid.

I haven't played since I quickly finished the campaign with the original characters. I've been waiting for a big update....sounds like the Black Panther one might be a good time to get back in to it.
The thing that I hate about the game is that all of the missions feel like the same thing. Stand on this pad and fight off enemies...then go stand on that pad and fight off enemes....etc etc etc yada yada yada.

An Avengers game that actually had different gameplay styles for the different characters would be amazing. Making all characters essentially play like Batman was a mistake. Also, the flying is so much more fun in Anthem.

I’m actually in the middle of leveling up Ms. Marvel to the target of 130 power level so I’ll have at least 6 for the Mega Hives where you get the exotic gear.
And I hear you. I’d like some tower defense or stealth missions or even rescue/protection missions kind of like with Kate’s DLC. They also time traveled in that one which was cool.
Raids are still being worked on & New Game + is in quality assessment right now.
Spider-Man will be a unique mission chain to PS.

Wut? None of these characters play like Batman, & they have distinct fighting styles If you choose to build them that way
Every hero can be altered to your playing style.

Finally picked the game back up again now that I finally got the PS5. Beautiful looking game on the next gen system. I never did play much past the initial campaign story, so the hawkeye stuff will be new for me.
I fricked something up and wasn't able to figure out how to carryover my save information from ps4 to ps5, so I started over....turned out to be a really good decision. I realized what I was doing wrong in terms of building up the characters last time, so I was able to be more strategic this time.
Just finished playing the Kate Bishop campaign and she's probably my favorite character to play at this point.
I never built up the characters very high last time around so that is my goal now so I can play some of the higher powered missions.

I am enjoying it. Control could be a little tighter.
