Most auto part stores will change it for you for free

Go to wholesale battery on mammoth and pay half the price. Install it yourself and spend the extra money taking your significant other out to dinner.

Second autoparts store. They are usually right across street from each other - go to the least crowded.

Unless you just enjoy changing truck batteries there is absolutely no reason to change one yourself since Autozone & Oreilly do it for free and usually right after you checkout.

I had an AGM from AdvancedAuto and they gave me a new replacement on the last day into a 3 year warranty

The reason is that you want it done right. Seen too many cases with loose connections or improperly cleaned terminals to let someone from an auto parts store put in a batter.

Not on all vehicles. I think whether they do or don't is based on the amount of work to swap the battery.
For example, take my 2018 Sierra; they (autozone) would not because it requires you to loosen and move the coolant reservoir out of the way and 2 body support brackets. (frick GM for that BTW)
Regardless, I prefer to do it myself. I know it is done right and I am not trusting some random person with an unknown level of mechanical knowledge to do it.

They wouldnt even touch mine. Said it was too big of a liability. Took me about an hour and a bunch of F bombs to get everything off the battery.

Pretty much spot on with my exact experience with my 2018 Sierra and Autozone.
I know how to do it now instead of fighting it though.
