I can def. see the staff telling themselves "we not gonna wait around for someone who is all but enrolled at bama" But also have that lifeline saying "hey u want in? commit and lets go"

Tricky situation. We have an outstanding haul at WR. BTJ is a player every team in the country wants. Do we take 5 WRs in a year when we only have 1 Oline guy so far? I understand we expect to get Leigh but I am in the camp that we absolutely need 3 Olinemen when finishing this class (actually think we should take 4 or 5 every year). Numbers are getting tight. Looking at the class, I would expect a safety and/or one of the pass rushers is forced out.

I agree completely. Higher needs, WR is one position we are stacked with talent. Smith and Earle are also going to be top WRs, plus Boutte and Moore (who has looked better so far IMO). BTjr gives us a 50/50 ball guy, but if it comes between spending time recruiting him or recruiting Leigh/Korey/Maason/OL, I know which is a better use of time.

Chris Allen was never gonna be told no either was he? Yet he was. We have no clue what direction the staff is going. They know way more than we do but since some of you know all because message boards say so, feel free to tell us what's going on and what direction the staff is going in.
Start with this, Langlois and Bech were accepted and aren't gonna be pushed so who's spots did they take?
Foreman?
Smith?
Leigh?
Byrd?
Earle?
Smith?
Hilton?
Shead?
Gee?
Thomas?
Carter?
Brown?
You know it all so go ahead and let us in on the secret. You're not dealing with a flash in the pan recruitnik here bud. I know as much or more than you do so please disperse or give us something more than "the staff isnt turning away the #2 wr in the country".

What does that even mean

He hasn’t committed anywhere. He isn’t holding up anything.

Did Chris Allen even have an LSU offer

Y’all are frickin silly & emotional over every little bit of news you get. “He’s all Bama, A&M is in his pocket”. Chill the hell out, this means NOTHING.

LSU is not going to stop recruiting Brian Thomas.

Then act like it man. They’ve already targeted guys they can cut from the class if things get tight.

Can you clarify what you're saying here? Because they way I'm reading this is you think LSU told Chris Allen to kick rocks, and this couldn't be further from the truth. We were recruiting him hard before he committed to Alabama and then were trying like hell to flip him until signing day.

Have seen him twice this year. I see the great body just don’t see the athleticism I expected. He could be more Malachi than Terrace. Time will tell.

I don't think LSU has necessarily moved on, but I also don't think they will wait forever, no matter how high he is ranked. He's not at a critical position for the current roster when you factor other recruits committed. I'm sure they would love to have him, but they also aren't going to let a talented WR hold up their roster management for the entire recruiting cycle. He'll make a decision or they'll make one. No big deal. Let's see how it plays out.

They will cut someone out the class if need be but are this point I dont think they are expecting him to be in the class

If you’re referring to Evans that is a completely different situation than BTJ’s.

Evans is a high school aged Antonio Brown head case who’s struggling to get playing time at TCU.

Lol

Y’all really don’t know how recruiting works at this point?

There’s the story in your head based off what you read on the internet, and then there is actual reality.

He hasn’t committed to Alabama yet, he will move up the board accordingly, he was rated #2 in May/June. I assume at the time he was a LSU lock , moved down once they thought he was, will move back up the ratings once he commits to Bama

True

This time it seems that the non-head case five star talent wants to go to Alabama. Nothing we haven’t seen before.
If he doesnt then LSU will make room for him.

We have 4 committed and it’s time tk sign two OL, mason and a SDE.
