David Griffin clearly thinks we are in “win in the very near future mode” based on his coaching candidates.

I don't see the Pels doing any extreme win now moves, but I could see them keeping JJ the whole season and letting him walk for nothing. Same with Jrue. I think Griff will bet they become good enough to convince Jrue to stay.

To get a #1 pick in the nba draft, we’d have to give a lot more than just Jrue even if its a weak draft. There will be a couple all-stars in thid draft, we just dont know where.

To a team like the Knicks sure.

Minnesota is in a bad spot, they have to win and win quick or risk Kat and D'lo forcing their way out.

There's not many players available that teams would part with that would be able to help them with that, along with being ok playing 3rd fiddle to those 2.

Never happening. Wolves have been a perennial doormat and Jrue would bolt the minute the season is over. They are in worse shape than us.

GS would be the team to trade with. He’s likely to re-sign and stay on the west coast with a vet team that is a favorite for the ship.

There’s always at least one in the first three picks. Every draft has had one since 1999.

But at the same time, I would feel short changed giving up 13 and Jrue namely because I just don’t see a great fit with Zion/BI at the top of this draft.

100% agree with you, but I’m also not convinced that jrue fits either, I’ll take the younger cheaper asset. Wouldn’t be upset if we kept jrue tho
