CBS Asks NFL Announcers to Curb Opinions on Race, Injustice

quote:

The fan response to player activism appeared to be decidedly mixed at best in Thursday's season-opener in Kansas City, where some of the 17,000 fans on hand at rainy Arrowhead Stadium rained boos down on Chiefs and Texans players when they locked arms at midfield in a display of unity after skipping the playing of the national anthem.

They didn’t even show it until after the game was over. Or at least I didn’t see it.

I find that people that say this the most would be creaming themselves if anyone was wearing a MAGA mask. This statement usually means keep the politics I don't like outta the league.

They played a football game and Sean Payton wore a mask with a name on it. He didn't discuss it pregame or postgame. Big woop don't care.

I'm starting to see why Goodell has hated him all these years. He's too smug for his own good.

I didn’t watch. Not necessarily a boycott(busy with the kids) but I didn’t go out of my way to watch either.

Did Saints kneel? Stay in locker room?

The only saint to kneel was Malcom Jenkins. The rest of the team stood on the field with hands over heart.

He is smug, but frick no-knock warrants... and I’m MAGA as can be. That’s some Soviet-KGB-esque bullshite.

It was as almost unnoticeable. I watched the game and didn't know Sean had that on his mask, there was only once or twice that the camera panned wide enough to read the "it takes all of use" print in the end zone, and it was pretty unobtrusive, same with the phrase on the back of the helmet. If I wasn't actively looking for it to see what all the fake outrage was about, I wouldn't have noticed. It was fun watching football, I've missed it, it was even better with the Saints getting the win.

I agree

If you want to see how much worse it could be try watching an NBA game. It’s insufferable

Imagine not watching the NFL (or any sport) because you're upset about the political views of athletes

Meanwhile I got to enjoy one of the best Saints run Ds in a long time.

That's usually how it goes. Once the ball is kicked off, it's back to football. It went away after like Week 5 or so back in 2016-2017 too.

All I know is that when I saw that Fleur de Lis and the Superdome just like I know it, I started caring less about the people who put on that Fleur de Lis and more about the City of New Orleans and how much joy we all get as a community when the Saints win.

So I will watch the Saints and the Saints only, but only because of the City of N.O., the people that live there, and, as crazy as this may be, the joy I get when the Saints win.

If the players had the thugs names on their helmets and wore anything related to the BLM BS it was not political free. As long as they do this I will not watch.

Why is Payton wearing the name of a criminal on his face? Was he a customer?
