Seen on a road in Opelousas





Never saw anything like this around here

Mink. Killed one duck hunting once. Made a hat band out of it.

Cool, when I passed the first time the profile didn’t match anything I had seen before around my land. I am sure they have plenty around crawfish ponds and suck.

Mink, trapped a bunch of them a few years ago. Mean little animals that you want to skin outdoors or very carefully. Not as bad as skunk but you puncture or over pressure the scent glands you won't like the result.

Long tailed weasels can look similar to that but aren’t very common

Seen lots of dead mink on Hwy 190 between Lawtell and Elton ... they definitely F up crawfish ponds

so cute, but nasty lil frickers, brother and I killed one running towards us on one of the rails of a RR track, knew it wasn’t a skunk when we shot it but jesus h christ, the smell hit us as we got walked up and it got worse the closer we got to it, got it home with a string around it’s neck and attempted to skin it with bread wrappers on our hands, dad got home, tracked us down behind the barn by the smell, made us bury that nasty lil thing half skinned with the bread wrappers...
