It's an hour from Thomson, Illinois, which is the most depressing place I've ever been.

It sort of sucks. You are geographically only an hour from Chicago and 1.5 hours to Madison so that is good

Lived there for a year, I would highly discourage a move there. Besides, it’s in Illinois. Enough said.

My high school Physics teacher is probably the smartest person I have ever come into direct contact with. He claimed to have been recruited by the CIA in youth. Looking back, I’m certain he wasn’t lying.

He wore Dickies brand pants, and he gave me an A in Physics for the first semester for making Dickies pants the official pants of my High School.

He was seen by reputable sources rummaging through dumpsters in Rockford, Illinois the summer before I began college.

Guy taught me more with that A than I learned from any other teacher.

A participant in a mob action who does not withdraw when commanded to do so by a peace officer commits a Class A misdemeanor, which can result in up to a year in jail.
It is common for those charged with mob action in Illinois to also face charges such as aggravated battery, as prosecutors will often charge mob action in cases where multiple people are accused of jointly attacking another person.
