I bought one and on the very first cast with it I caught a bass.

When the plopper bite is on, it’s a ton of fun. Caught one just about every cast at my local pond one evening. Haven’t been able to repeat those results since.

I had a plopper for over a year before I finally caught a fish on it. Then one trip to Henderson they were hitting it good. Finally it was paying off. Then, a choupique grabbed it and broke me off.
I haven’t bought another

Its a great bait imo. I always have one tied on and usually do pretty well with it.
Morning, late evening, shady banks, wind blown banks and current points it makes a good search bait.

What kind of retrieve were you using? Slow and steady or twitching?

I kill them with it. THE WIND IS YOUR FRIEND.....

The only thing that sucks about them, I lost a couple to huge garfish. And the little gators chase them.

Garfish love them. I've been lucky to get mine back so far.

I have a big lake that can produce 100+ bass a day. I bought a couple and brought it out there the last time i went and couldn’t catch shite. Both days I tried weren’t great days, but I was able to catch 30 or so and 0 on the whopper ploppers.
I haven’t gave up on it yet, but have little confidence.

Definitely better early or late . Caught 25 with one the other day , it was cloudy . Steady and slow retrieve .

Been hammering the bass for the last 5-6 weeks on the #110 W-P.
