Do some metcon type conditioning that includes abs.
100 junprope then 25 situps for 10 minutes. Stuff like that. Sounds like if you optimize your schedule you cant get around 7 hours of sleep

Hot showers lower internal body temp because the body works to cool the hot skin. Scientifically proven. Cold shock typically wakes people up

Interesting. Didn’t know that.

What Mingo said. Check out Matthew Walker if you want to check it out further. His book titled Why We Sleep is pretty comprehensive. I went down that rabbit hole about a year ago and was surprised that warm water is one of the best ways to lower your core temperature by releasing heat through the skin due to vasodilation.

One more idea..would it be better for me to lift first thing in the morning? If im cutting out the fasted walking then I could instead still wake up early for a lift which would allow me to quit eating right before bed and hopefully improve my sleep. I could eat my last meal of the day at the office right before I leave. This will also probably help me speed up my workout since there should be fewer people in there.
Would that be detrimental to the muscle building process? Do I just throw down a slice of toast and some Greek yogurt first? Is this where EAA supplements may have some benefit?

Yes, most likely

If you want to try something a little simpler than changing your diet, I have recently started listening to brown noise while I sleep. There is a track on Spotify that sounds like you are in an airplane cabin. I have a sound bar in my room and turn up the bass and my bed slightly rumbles with the noise. Best sleep I've had in a really long time.

Add in some cardio to your weight training to compensate for your walking and maybe cut your weight training down to a hour. Try talking a long walk on the weekend if you feel that you have to do it

Agreed. I’ve been getting by on between 5 and 6 a night for at least 7 years.
