How far away are they from land from the beach they look to only be a mile or 2 away when standing on Grand Isle Beach?

On average, how deep is the water?

Can you Catch red snapper or mangroves at them?

What other species of fish do they hold?

Lots of hardheads and some bull reds. Maybe a bonus shark.

I have no personal experience out there, but I tinker with the Navionics Webapp:

Mangroves maybe 7 miles but they don't have them at those close rigs like they used to. They get hit hard and this weekend will be terrible as far as boats and pressure.

Stick to the South Pelto blocks. They are about 10-15 miles off the beach. Generally clean water and deep enough for what you’re looking for.

Maybe, but likely not.

There are some big reds and black drum around there.

I’ve caught some cobia at the rigs there right out of Fourchon

Trigger fis. Keep in mind, you cannot keep the drum caught out there (not even the close rigs).

Guys, if this has changed, please let me know. Don't want a fellow OBer getting busted in Federal waters

Not only do we catch cobia at the little 2 mile platform, we catch big cobia. First stop we make when heading offshore.

AutoYes, do you have to buy a subscription for that Navionics webapp? On a side note, what navionics app do you use for your phone?

And that Navionics Webapp has all your fishing spots still showing on it. Just thought you should know since you shared it with the whole OB. I like how you named one May Trout or November Trout. I even saw one that said 26" Red.
