What's everyone's setup to water your veggie plants? I'm on my second setup and I'm still not happy. I did the small sprinkler heads low to the ground so that I didn't wet leaves. Then I switched to drip irrigation using pvc pipe and I'm not getting enough water pressure for all the beds so I'm back to square one.

I do the standard stand a spray method using a contractors nozzle.

The drip systems have a pressure regulator. You need to split you system into more than 1 zone BEFORE the pressure regulator.

Put the pressure regulator right before the drip system zone starts. So it’s high pressure all the way until the dropper spot

I had one one connected to my hose that ran the sprinkler heads, but for some reason took it off when I did the drip irrigation.

I put in drip tape this year. Put valves on the peppers to keep from overwatering. Otherwise just hook up the hose and let it roll.

My Jose gets tired and has to take a break from watering after a while.

I have a 250 gallon rain barrel that I use to handwater until it runs dry which this year happened about 2 weeks ago. So I used the water hose for a week and then we got 5" of rain so now my barrel is full again.

I'm lucky if my Jose shows up 3 days a week to water the garden. Need to find a new one.

Might I recommend the No-Weigh Jose™. It has a very lightweight, thin-wall design. A lot more work gets done with less weight to haul around.

I have a soaker hose run throughout the garden on a timer. My plants are in the ground on elevated rows with the exception of about 10 plants in grow bags. Those I just water with a hose manually in the afternoon.

I have a combo of sprayers, drip lines and soakers. All on 1/2" black drip system main line. I run the 1/4" line to each plant or area from there. All pressure compensating drippers and sprayers. 2 zones that run daily.
