Means we'll have a new carrier for the 2020-2021 season and likely for the tournament to wrap up the 2020 campaign later this year.

Correct... Now granted it may not get much better seeing as CBS has the rights next and they don't exactly have a ton of options to show games on TV/not behind a pay wall.

Also, still not clear who will show the games for the 20-21 season, hoping we get someone with multiple properties to show more than one match a day

ViacomCBS can show it across a number of their channels?
They have a fricking ton of them

Kind of like how Comcast does on the last day of the EPL

I hope so, but I doubt they'd spread the games on anything more than CBS and CBS Sports Network... It's just a matter of how many games they show and what kind of paywall we get for the non-TV matches

it takes a special kind of inept to make Fox's UCL coverage seem like the golden years.

CBS Sports+
34.99 for the season

See that's not bad at all to get access to everything, wasn't B/R Live like $80?

Obviously I'd like no paywall, but the ship has sailed on that one

No idea but it would literally take minimal work on their end

They are partners with BT sport which also has ESPN UK in their umbrella

They would just have to push the BT feed, same commentary and same studio show.

Would be awesome af to have all non televised games on espn+

Champions league coverage was always one of espn’s strong suits

Too much sports, not enough politics.

I bet if all the teams agreed to keep BLM instead of their names on the back ESPN would jump back in the mix.

Let's be honest here. CBS actually has several options for channels since they're combined with Viacom, but the reality is almost all games will be behind the CBS all access paywall just like Turner did.

So, really nothing will change other than swapping Steve Nash out for Thomas Rongen.

As long as I don’t have to watch Ellen and Steve Nash eye frick each other, I’ll consider this a win.

I’m in the minority here, but I didn’t mind the B/R platform. I just paid to watch the City games on my phone while I worked.
