quote:

Joe Biden still has time to do the smart thing and name New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo his running mate. The top two reasons would be Cuomo’s proven competence managing his state’s coronavirus crisis and a strong personality unafraid of that other son of Queens, President Donald Trump.

quote:

None of the women Biden has been interviewing has Cuomo’s executive experience and star power. His daily briefings during the pandemic have been must-views for those wanting to know what was really going on. We saw him aggressively arranging for new hospital beds and ventilators to prepare for worst-case scenarios. They were not needed because the tough lockdown imposed on New Yorkers stopped the pandemic’s advance. Under Cuomo’s leadership, the curve of sickness and death turned way down to the levels of March.

quote:

Cuomo matches Trump’s tough-guy-from-Queens persona. And Trump scares him not at all. During his 2018 State of the State address, Cuomo had a picture of an empty Oval Office flashing on a screen.

quote:

Republicans are spreading concern about Biden’s age, 77, portraying him as feeble. Biden is not that, and Trump, obese and almost 74, is hardly a picture of youthful vigor.

She is as hackish as any national columnist. She is a disgrace.

Is he not directly responsible for covid deaths for allowing patients to be housed in retirement homes? nursing homes?

There’s hardly anything correct in that whole piece.

This is but a small glimpse of a delusional hack's mind who never stepped outside their small shitty liberal bubble. The demonrats look so weak right now. So desparate.

How pathetic is a party which cheered on a pandemic / economic crash for their own benefit and STILL can’t benefit from it?

Of course not. Cuomo says he was following Trump’s CDC guidance.

That strategy worked so well for the Nazis at Nuremburg.

Of course, back then there were standards for holding people accountable.

quote:

New York and New Jersey both have ordered nursing homes to admit patients regardless of their COVID-19 status. California had a similar directive. And then suddenly, as of March 30, it didn't. After a couple of days of outcry from the medical community, the state softened its instruction.
quote:

In Louisiana, which has clusters of COVID-19 patients in more than 60 nursing homes, a facility is prohibited from admitting people who have tested positive for the virus or who were treated for respiratory problems, unless it can show it has the capacity to care for them.
The CDC wasn’t forcing anyone to do anything.

We also saw him take ventilators from areas of New York that were better prepared while whining about Trump not giving him enough ventilators with thousands sitting in a warehouse.

Except for the subways. And how you can say he stopped the pandemic's advance in the city with the highest number of infections and deaths in the country is beyond me.

That's how pandemics work. They rise and then fall. Doing nothing would have produced the same curve.

Andy Cuomo, like his father,Mario has "Italian" issues that the press would be obliged to jump all over
