The biggest impact, IMO, is that it normalized war.
We have kids graduating college who have never known a U.S. that wasn't at war.
We have soldiers in the military who have never known a time when we weren't at war.
The cultural effects of normalizing war could end up being worse than the direct effects because it'll make it that much more difficult to end it.

It completely destabilized the mideast and led to the rise of ISIS and the taliban is still around and just forced the United States into a "peace deal" just to get out.
It also led to disastrous involvement in Syria and Africa as well.

We are paying for this massive military Empire partly because China is buying our debt.
We in turn are able to buy cheap masks and hand sanitizers that are made in China....to wear during a China-induced virus?
It is a surreal twisted joke.
Yet someday that debt bill will be due and the punchline ain’t going to be too funny.

You’d have some loud purple hair calling him racist, some soy boy being triggered by the thought of military action, and AOC-Cups bitching about why we aren’t canceling rent.

I pray there’s not a war in the next 5 years. Trump would be casted as a war monger and deranged. Probably try to impeach him or have a coup to take him out. Oh wait again

Hey look, another thread full of people who disown Dubya and claim to have always known better.

We are just emerging from a beta-test of the coming tyranny in which a coterie of unelected and unaccountable technocrats in the administrative state exert near total dominion over our God-bestowed liberties. Thankfully, more and more citizens are awakening from their slumber and recognize this war on liberty for what it is.
It is abundantly clear to anyone who has independence of mind what side of the equation George Bush aligns with in this war. Yet we still have supposed “conservatives” who believe Bush was a good President because he gave a speech on a pile of smoking rubble with a bullhorn.
As much as it pains me to say it, whatever future horrors awaits us was probably sealed when Bush won re-election in 2004. Tragically, it is our children’s children who will pay the cost for this folly.
