Shameless, self-promotion alert ... but seriously, not only will this shed a little more light on me and my shop for you guys who haven't met me in person or visited my shop, I've been a big fan of this magazine's content for a long time, and I'm really honored and proud they thought their readers would enjoy this.

Good for you. FYI, checked out your site to buy a t-shirt but didn't see any. Any in store?

Shirts ... my website doesn't have an e-commerce component, e-mail me through The Fret Shack website to reserve a shirt. Our addy is at the top of every page. I currently have L, XL and XXL tees in stock, they are $25 including USPS shipping in the lower 48, and we take Venmo and PayPal.

Thanks for the kind words, you folks are awesome. :)

I wish I was in town to drop my two off to you! Congrats on the recognition. From everything posted about you here, seems like you deserve it!

Side note: I'm going with Old Towne Picking Parlor for my setups in Denver

Buddy Duchamp I assume? Not personally, but we're friends on Facebook and have a ton of common friends. He does good work and has a good reputation and following.

Nothing self promoting about that! Very nice write up.
It was very interesting talking to you and visiting in your shop.

PS. Hope the parking stripes are working out.

Just wanted to share my experience...for those wanting work done, take the time to set up an appointment and get in the shop.

Brought my late grandfather's Martin in Saturday for evaluation. FretShack looked over every detail. And took the to explain what he was looking for and why. I learned a ton just in that sitting.

I called Tuesday to see when I could drop it off. FretShack opened the shop early Wednesday so I could catch him before I went to work. This morning, he let me know it was ready and sent pics of the finished product. That Martin hasn't looked that good in fifty years.

Given the number of guitars I saw in the shop on Saturday and Wednesday, I was shocked. It was an extremely quick turnaround.

He changed the strings, lowered the saddle, polished the frets, conditioned the fretboard, polished the rest of the guitar, and buttoned up some wiring in the sound box for an extremely fair price.

But the biggest thing that stuck out was how humble FretShack is. He's just a good dude. He's earned a customer for life.
