NFL Draft: Late round RB that could be solid pickups?

Going RB early would surely piss a lot of us off with more obvious needs being WR and LB but we still haven’t re-signed Washington for our third RB on the roster and Murray, after a strong middle of the season, kind of disappeared later in the year. Could this be something that’s addressed in the draft?
What was going on with Murray? I know, I know, Payton didn’t use him enough and got away from running the ball with him and Kamara but it also seemed like Payton just lost faith in Murray. So with Payton’s confidence possibly shaken in Murray and no 3rd RB, what’s the earliest you’d consider a RB? Round 4? Seems like the first two picks could be locked in to WR and LB. Could another solid back Payton trusts help reignite the run game?
What does everyone think?

No it was straight up that Sean refused to run the ball and when he did it was with kamara. When Kamara was hurt and teddy was under center Murray was great. They had to run him bc we couldn’t rely on Drew or Kamara. He was also great in his limited snaps when Drew and Kamara came back but he was pretty much removed from the gameplan

That formula was when the Saints played their best football last year. Run game, defense, special teams, and a little Michael Thomas.

I would be okay with adding a new rb to the mix but personally I think we're in very good hands with kamara and Murray. We just need to stick with the running game sometimes. Murray was a hoss last year and if kamara is back healthy we should be pretty salty with the ground attack.

Sewo Olonilua, TCU
6’3”
232
40: 4.66
Vertical: 36”
Broad Jump: 123”
Bench: 25
Great hands for a big man (24 catches last year) and can pass block. Not a burner but has good vision. Think Derrick Henry but with better acceleration. 7th rounder

I sat there for awhile thinking someone’s name was actually Deejay Dallas Miami.

Just watched a few clips of him and Deejay Dallas. I’d love either one. Dallas moves like Pierre as soon as he gets the ball, the patience and ability to wiggle into holes
But he’s also got a natural ability it seems to make people miss. I’d love Sewo too but he’s pretty similar to what we have in Murray, though it does look like Sewo has softer hands.

James Robinson (Illinois State)
1900 yards & 18 TDs last year. One possession away from taking down NDSU in the playoffs last year.

The smartest decision was to use Murray as the go to back, mow down the defense and let Kamara be the change of pace and mismatch piece.
Why? Prevents overuse. Increases efficiency.

Really intrigued by Antonio Gibson out of Memphis. Not sure how far he will fall but could be mid 3rd day. If nothing else, should be a great special teamer, but could also contribute possibly as WR, RB or even FB/H-back at times.

Went to TCU and watched every single snap Sewo ever took. Good physical back but takes a while to get going and struggles to move side to side. Sewo can definitely run somebody over but he needs a full head over steam first to do so. Patterson begged him to switch to defensive end from the moment he stepped on campus but he never did. Has a really strong work ethic
The Saints should really look at the other TCU back-- Darius "The Jet" Anderson. Smaller than Sewo but is extremely powerful and gets in and out of cuts with ease. Runs people over and is deceptively strong for his size. He was CRIMINALLY used at TCU and his volume of touches was deplorable, so that's why he flew under the radar.
Had a 93 yard touchdown run against Ohio State in Jerry World- ran past the entire Buckeye defense, including Okudah. Watch his Ok State film from 2017, single handledly won us that game on the road.
Cam Akers is another guy- really good speed and came from a prison time worthy situation at FSU. Two guys that I think Sean can really get a lot out of

I think Cam Akers comes into the NFL with a chip on his shoulder and makes a big impact in the NFL. Just a feeling, but I think he becomes a big time RB for 5-6 years. A healthy Dalvin Cook would be the comp I’d go with.

Good. Glad I wasn't the only one.

Damm, Lester you so much smarter in saints talk then any Tiger Post. Good choice of RB. Would be steal in round 4 especially if we pick as late as I think we do.

Come on man ,you don’t know Ebonics? I invented it so I knew right away. I type Ebonics daily!

I think Akers situation has similarities to the situation Kamara was in in college. Dumpster fire program moving through coaches that masked his true ability. Give me someone of his talent, ability, and skill level on my team, please and thank you
