He loves to play Credit card roulette but never actually places his own card in the hat to pick from.

Who is Bernie resonating with in America? I would think that the "Occupy" movement would have been great timing with his campaign but the economic boom under Trump can't be good for his camp.

Funny, but not terribly original.

I used to think that was it. But throughout my life I've talked to a LOT of lower/middle class democrats who admit that taxing the hell out of the rich won't result in their having more money or free stuff. They just want to see the rich suffer like they do.
I can't relate to that attitude. But it exists.

That is the scary part. Many people want these programs in order to punish rich people.

Some years back, someone created a Monopoly-like wealth management game that was based on strategy, but involved a lot of luck because it used dice. There was no winner or loser, as different players started with different amounts of resources and the goal was to do the best with what you had. You could go into debt when you lost all your money.

One of the elements of luck was that you drew cards during the course of the game and could play those cards when it was your turn. One of those cards could be played on a fellow player, and caused your fellow player to lose 1/2 of their wealth, but also causes you to also lose 1/2 of your wealth, as well.

Naturally, the people that used that card were people who had very little wealth, and it was almost always played on the richest player. Keep in mind, there was no winner or loser.

The point of playing the card was obvious:. People took joy in bringing the rich guy down, even if they hurt themselves in the process.
