Just spoke with a friend who is out on Orleans, day drinking and holding down a spot. City is indeed rolling down Orleans, throwing away anything that isn't being personally watched over.

I admit I think this is hilarious even as someone who holds a spot for endymion.
My only problem is why the city can’t have this attitude all the time and throw out all the trash from under the interstate the bums leave behind.

If someone was to go just in front of the trucks picking up the so called "trash" aka ladders, tents, chaors, etc., could that someone pick up that trash themselves? There are some good things to be had. Ladders aren't cheap.

Hearing rumors RTA is looking long-term at converting the canal line into something more like light rail with platform boarding and other things. While this won't happen overnight both the construction and operation could seriously affect our Chad friends and Endymion running down Canal.

They are already going to take a few stops out. Continuing with slow moving streetcars is a bad plan if they want mass transit options for the city.

Update: RTA has been working on "streetcar track maintenance" which ended a bit ago, so now RTA is going to run the Canal streetcar until 4 hours before Endymion starts. Running on regular schedule.
