Uhh, no its not. I dont give a shite nor do I expect them to punish anyone.
I also dont have anything to do with any potential MLB investigation.
But dont act like it isn't a possibility.

I find it hard to believe MLB would investigate the Astros to the level they did and not find anything if it was occurring
I just dont know. I mean this would be hard as hell to catch without someone admitting to it. The banging is pretty easy to prove

Unless you think MLB would actively cover that up to avoid harder backlash which I guess is possible
I mean in really hope not. I guess it's possible, but I would see it being more likely if the Astros would have won the whole thing last year. But given that they werent World Series champs, does it really matter at all? I mean we know they cheated, does this part of it matter more? I dont really think so

I understand it has to do with stealing signs. Stealing signs in baseball is not cheating and has been going on since teams started using signs.
There is a difference.
Picking up on tendencies or signs with your own eyes and vantage point is fine. That is on the other team to shield that the best way possible.
Having an elaborate system in place to steal signs is a whole other level and completely an unfair advantage. Depending upon what it is they got caught doing.

Banging a trashcan is some NASA level shite, baw.
Just to clarify-
A camera was set up in centerfield fixed on the catcher. The feed went to a monitor that was steps from the dugout. A group of team employees decoded the calls and then notified the hitters IN REAL TIME of offspeed or breaking balls. The garbage can banging was how they let them know and the dumbest part of the whole thing. It got them caught but they used technology to decode signs. Wearing a device to buzz would be child’s play with the technology available.

Some people are way too stupid to understand this and to understand that you arent allowed to do that

And, if you believe the WSJ, they were using code breaker to figure out signals ahead of time, stealing signs while on the road as well, and were doing so in the playoffs

They admitted to this. Theres no "if you believe" about it.
Again, lots of people way too stupid to understand what actually happened.

quote:Put yourself in their shoes. The *s committed a cardinal sin. Sure, all the other teams have hooked up with an underage girl, but Houston got one pregnant.
Unless you think MLB would actively cover that up to avoid harder backlash which I guess is possible. I don’t think they would do that though
The *s’ cheating has put baseball in a bind. One of the game’s most incalculably valuable assets is one every professional sport has: the integrity of its championship. This integrity has been compromised before, but never this much. The severity of the *s’ punishment is inversely proportional to the value of a World Series championship.
This is what *s fans don’t realize: baseball would do anything to protect the *s because protecting them means protecting the value of a title. Manfred has a seriously difficult road ahead because of this (I guess his headache is the only part of the story I like). If you punish the *s appropriately, you admit that the title isn’t real (which we all know to be true) and subject yourself to a slew of class action lawsuits, and it can only get uglier from there.
So the other option is to let the *s somewhat off the hook to protect at least the image of the game’s integrity...leaving the players to settle the rest.

The same MLB that turned a blind eye to roids?
Jfc. The denial you people live in.

I mean MLB had all the facts, we only have what is being reported. MLB obviously had enough evidence to actually punish them.
I doubt we ever really find out what went down until someone writes a book on this.

Sport leagues turning blind eyes in general isn't unprecedented. Hell, teams like the As complained about this exact situation with the commissioners office multiple times and nothing happened until fiers took matters into his own hands
I think it's a lot more likely that baseball has found no legitimate evidence that a buzzer was used. But I'm not going to completely rule out the possibility that they have and are doing damage control to some degree. It's more "I dont think its true, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is"

That where I’m at. I’m just pointing out that thinking this isn’t a possibility is ludicrous.
This board: nfl fixed. Nba rigged. Suddenly Stros fans are all about sanctity of the game. It’s laughable.

Right.
Talking about the buzzer is a deflection for Stros fans. It allows them to pivot away from the known cheating to pretend that if the buzzer is bs then the whole thing is.
White. Christian. Southerner. Stros fan. The persecution cycle. ;)
