You want to stop the turnovers without too much blow back from the players? Pull them from the game and cut their minutes. The careless ball handling and passing is killing this team.

That’s what a coach who disciplines players would do. Unfortunately he’s a terrible coach

And play who? So you gonna pull Brandon Ingram because he dribbled the ball off of his foot or loses his handle a few times. He's the reason your in the game. You gonna pull Zion when he turns the ball over too? Might as well sit Jrue and Josh Hart got for missing critical free throws.

You're right. When Zion turned the ball over twice in the first minute he should have sat him for the rest of the half.

Then the board could have complained that his rotations are awful and why the hell isn't Zion playing.

Honestly, if you see a guy is having a problem in the game with lazy passes or passes to no one, you take them out, tell them you need better from them and then put them back in. Turnovers will happen to everyone, but some are just pure lazy or dumb passes to no one. Other turnovers can be more accidental or when trying to make a play.

Uncle Al couldn’t game plan to exploit a line up of 6’5” dudes.

The vast rebounding advantage says they did exploit it. Unfortunately dumb turnovers and inability to hit timely free throws continues to haunt them.

This game was tailor made for Zion to take over down low, yet Jrue and BI found ways to not get him the ball. At some point Alvin needs to establish an offensive hierarchy with Zion at the top.

‘22 turnovers... that can’t happen’

It happens every fricking game!!

What do the points in the pant look like?

And you are going to have a massive rebounding edge when the other team shoots 39% and gets 20 extra FGAs from TOs

Hey guys, if we win the next twelve minutes we win. Let's make good passes and take good shots and rebound. All we have to do is win the next twelve minutes.
This was Gentry's coaching when we were neck and neck with the Rockets in the 4th. Profound to say the least.

Be unreasonably angry with Alvin after each loss all you like, but whining about this is stupid.

Well, he wasnt wrong about that. Thats standard coach pep talk. What you should be mad about is when the guys are sitting around him and he's not talking or drawing up a play. That exact thing happened in the Houston game when they cut to them. I was like ok, this is a great use of a timeout.

We 100% lack the depth to pull some of these guys mid game bc of sloppy turnovers. These issues need to be addressed/fixed during practice but not expecting much from gentry.
