murder of a guy that had just spoken to police about another crime and then had his house burned down
So what's this guy doing on the street?
He made a 300k bond and was ordered to be on 24/7 house arrest with gps as a condition of the bond. Unclear if that condition was still in place.
300k is a pretty average bond for 2nd degree murder, but seems kind of low given the guy's priors and the witness victim aspect.
The judge/commissioner is also supposed to take into account the weight of the evidence. This is a murder that took place in 2017 and wasnt indicted until 2019. Law enforcement/ the State obviously had some issues with the case if it took that long for an arrest/indictment. Looks like he wasnt arrested until October of 18

Wow. Gary Chambers issued a statement:
Yeah, forgive me, I made that up. There is a better chance of Likud and Hamas merging than any race pimps stumbling upon anything constructive.

For too long this kind of repeat, violent predator has victimized our community. For too long these social pathologies have flourished in our neighborhoods. Maybe instead of killing one another we should recommit as men to our families and create the kind of lives for ourselves that we want? Maybe instead of blaming external forces for our problems we should look honestly within ourselves at why this continues to happen? What are we doing that is causing this? Maybe we should take school seriously, work hard, serve our families, be good husbands and fathers, look after our neighbors and stop this self-perpetuating cycle of violence and despair? Maybe instead of blaming others we should be responsible for own behavior? Maybe now is a time for quiet and honest self-reflection. Just a thought.

Considering that this situation is very atypical for my neighborhood, I absofrickinglutely do consider this living.

And how the frick did this POS come up with $30K to bail out in the first place? A surety would have had to have been placed on a $300K bond.

Maybe he had some money set aside for an occasion such as this.

He likely has a 20k bond on the one count of simple robbery and is being held without bond on the count of 1st degree murder. I think the Sheriff website is just showing the 20k bond.

Did the OT ever find out who the judge was that set it so low?

That’s the simple robbery charge that’s $20K. He’s facing a total of 3 murder charges, including the NBR killing back in 2017.
