The play that resurrected our city.

I’ve been to many Saints home games, playoff games, and even the Super Bowl. That game was the loudest three hours I’ve ever experienced in my life.

I was 16 years old & determined to go to that game. My dad & I ended up finding 2 tickets outside the dome for $500.

I remember the U2/Greenday pre-game, but what stuck out most to me was the National Anthem sung by I think Irma Thomas....not a dry eye around us.

The blocked punt happened in our endzone right after my dad turned to me and said he didn’t think we could pull this one out.

frick ALS man. My wife(respiratory therapist) has treated Gleason along with many other ALS patients and the disease is just pure evil. The stories I hear about it are just horrifying .

I hate to say that I missed this play. Went over to my dad's to watch the game, Saints force 4th down, I step outside to get something out of my car, come in and see the place going nuts, dad having to tell me what happened

Drew hadn't even stepped on the field as a Saint in the superdome at time of punt... is that correct?

More like 5 hours. The place was completely full and literally rocking 2 hrs before kickoff.

I was on an airplane coming back from California that night and missed the game. I got the score after returning home and found out about the blocked punt the next day. Who would have known the impact that would have on the resurrection of the Saints and the city of New Orleans?!!

If number 24 would have grabbed that ball, there never would have been a blocked punt and you wouldn't be reading this.
