....maybe in the future when negotiating away games the LSU AD should make sure adequate HVAC is provided at half-time. Especially if the game is played in August, September or early October. I always assumed opposing teams provided decent locker room conditions for visiting teams. It appears Texas is the exception. I'm a bit surprised this stipulation wasn't included in the agreement with Texas. If you don't put the language in the agreement.....it ain't gonna get done.

Problem solved.

I think make a maze of a hallway from locker room to field and let them guess which doors to open. Essentially, route them around the entire stadium before leading to the field,.

Give their band the last row of the entire west upper deck!

So you want to list all the chickenshit stuff they can do in the contract and say that they can't do it.

Serious question. You ever drafted a contract?

I like someone else's idea of putting the band in a single file line shoulder to shoulder at the very top of the stadium. Fill in the rows with the fans shoulder to shoulder until all three thousand of them make up a ring of the top few rows of Tiger Stadium.

Like a ring of scum at the top of the bathtub.

This is getting so petty. Give them their normal seats. Treat them the way we would normally treat a visiting team. Stuff their fans with gumbo, and jambalaya, and beer. Then kick their arse again.

No, but I did bid packages as part of an effort to win major equipment contracts. They are legally binding.

But regardless, answer this. Have YOU ever witnessed someone fall out as a result of Heat Exhaustion (HE)? Do you even know what HE is? Google it!

Never in my years have I EVER heard of a FBS (Division 1A) football program denying a visiting team adequate locker room conditions. So Texas sets a precedent. What do you do now?

I'll say this. It's a testament to the conditioning program (and professionalism of the training staff) at LSU that no one fell out with HE. But our boys were cramping. Enough to send at least two of our players to the locker room for IV's.

Now go peddle your b/s somewhere else.

I like the petty as a hypothetical, but I'm still on the fence.

That's why I suggest low key stuff... Except the seating situation. That was petty.

Can't decide. Show them how a proper team and university treats a guest or... frick em...

I guess that's why I like the exercise of thinking of the petty shite we could do, because in the end I know I'd feel better if we acted with class, but I get the release of imagining the petty playing out

I disagree.

I think we should make sure the A/C works. Works very well.
Works very, very well.

I'm sure that if the locker room is at 32-degrees when they arrive that their body heat will warm it up. Some.

GEAUX TIGERS

(P.S.; I don't want to screw their band, because their director is a friend of mine from my days in Tiger Band. Where they put Tiger Band wasn't his fault. I have been informed that the contract does call for their visitor seats and band will be in the upper deck, though.)

Do like Iowa, paint it pink and fill it with flowers. Pipe in soothing Muzak and give them all the Tab they want to drink - and bon-bons, lots of bon-bons.

Oh, and a bubble machine.

You keep using those words . . .

Yes. My coach gave us salt tablet and no water.

quote:

With the bad PR, I think they will never pull that crap again.

quote:

I think it is more of a nutrition issue.

Don't sell it. Don't buy it.

Contracts are great. But it is impossible to list every thing that will happen in one. And how do you enforce it on gameday? Are you going to go to a Texas court and get TRO?

Suppose it is in the contract. "The Tigers' locker room must be maintained at exactly 74.2 degrees. Any variation of that temperature is considered a material breach of this contract."

You get there and the temp in the locker room is 82. Texas folks say they are doing the best they can but the construction has created unexpected issues.

You going to sue them for damages?
