We only seem to land the top overall spot when there is an extremely hyped up player coming in.

2012: Anthony Davis
2019: Zion Williamson

We landed them both when we should not have had a top pick.

Idk what more annoying, people thinking the nba is rigged, or the cult of people who constantly blabber about it

The franchise isn’t old enough for that not to be common knowledge, but it’s pretty awesome for us, nonetheless.

It's also funny that a Lakers trade got nixed both times which led to the #1 picks. Thanks to Stern the 1st time and the midseason trade that fell apart this time.

AD pick.

You dont understand statistics.

Besides, the rookies think the top 3 best careers will be
1. Cam reddish
2. Ja
3. Hunter

As many rookies picked jaxson hayes to have best nba career as picked zion.
They tied for 4/5.

I saw tidbits of reddish in preseason. Looked awful.

Although they did acknowledge that Zion would win ROY and have the better “early” career, submitting to Zion’s size causing him to not be able to sustain top production over the length of an assumed shorter career than Reddish, Ja, etc.

1989 is a long time. History wasn't erased just because they rebranded.

I'm wondering if career meant like rings? Because they must think highly of atl's young duo

which rookies said that?

You are making up the why they voted, guessing, arent you?
It might be a good guess but its still a guess.
One of them thinks zion cant make fts in the playoffs and becomes notorious. I made that one up.
One of them thinks he cant beat out melli for pt.

The rookies, each and all, voted for one guy.

The same number of rookies picked jaxson hayes as picked zion.

No indicators of career longevity.

“Williamsons’ fellow rookies appear to agree with Charles Barkley that 285 lbs isn’t going to cut it for Williamson in the long run.”

Lol. You think I made up the reasons they voted that way? Geez... ...maybe you didn’t read the same shite?

I guess missing FTs in the playoffs could embarrass him out of the league? Not beating out Melli for playing time just seems like a reach. But...everyone’s entitled to their guesses, I guess.

no i had not read it.
I will now.

But your quoted part doesnt say how we know.
Ill read it.

Ok. I read the link (again).
I already read the exact story yesterday.

Everything i said stands.

Theres no poll where they asked why williamson flops.

You have one guy saying it and he's not even a rookie.

There is a lot to the idea of agendas and jealousy and macabre humor.

Player evaluations are pretty mixed bag.

Throw in they are aged 18-20 year old evaluations and potentially pent up animosity and it’s hard to take that list too seriously.
