Lima beans are one of the few foods I've ever tried that I despise - something about the gritty texture is just off-putting to me. My four kiddos always got a free pass on 'em lol

Edited to add: grilled pork chops & boudin, salad and key lime pie

My first couple of tries at cooking them were not stellar...my BF LOVES them, though, so I keep trying to dial it in. The ones I made tonight weren't gritty at all, I stewed them down with the trinity and some andouille for 1.5 hours and the texture was creamy and perfect without losing the integrity of the bean. The dish came out really good.

Great L Boogie - I'll chalk it up to my cooking prowess...but still not sure I want to practice or try to get lima beans right. Lol

Totally fair, we all have things that we just can't stomach. I feel that way about mayonnaise.
