I’m on the beta too. Happy I can play Volta and kickoff but some people get career?!?!? And no new unis? Weird.

Been playing on EA Access. The gameplay feels better this year for sure, though there are some AI defensive issues that crop up.
The Career Mode fixes we were promised (better AI rotation, schedule congestion) haven’t been fixed and the latter is actually worse. Also you can and will be sacked at the drop of a hat for overplaying a player or even giving him too low a release clause.
Overall needs a lot of work. We’ll see what the day one patch looks like...

They should make two games. One for fut and one for everything else.

You mean that game mode where you have to play constantly and spend gobs of extra money on mostly shite packs to even be remotely competitive?

I usually cant wait for Fifa release. The Beta was shite, AI defending is the most infuriating thing I've experienced from a game. For example if your tracking back with a winger the Left back will stand still and let the player run right by. They wont move until you take control of them. Also, everything about the game play is extremely slow. I dont mind playing slow possession based games, but you cant even make quick one touch passes with any sort of accuracy. The only movement midfielders make when off ball is if do a give and go. Dont even get me started on passing it out the back with a goalkeeper, you have no clue where it is going to go. Same with headers they are extremely inaccurate, everything just bounces straight up it seems. These are all issues I noticed in the BETA and they dont seem to be fixed for the full game.

While the game is designed to suck money out of you, you really can be decent at FUT without dropping a dime if you’re willing to put a mid-00s level MMO grind into it

The last FIFA I played was the first time I got into FUT.
I maybe put $20 in it but you really don’t have to. I got plenty of coins to get players I wanted through squad battles.
That and sniping the market, predicting SBC’s to sell cards or complete SBC’s....you can honestly make plenty.

EA knows they don’t have to do shite to improve the game and they will still be laughing all the way to the bank. Just not with my money this year, or ever again until they decide they want to fix career mode.

Man, these career mode issues keep getting worse. Editing a player's appearance changes his position and his rating. Also, the Champions League has the wrong teams and that/Europa stop working after a couple seasons.
